After the death of his brother, a Hollywood film music agent drags his son through an obsessive quest to recapture his own childhood through a globetrotting trek riding hundreds of roller coasters, collecting thousands of toys and transforming their home into "Kraftland," a shrine to Disneyland and American Consumer Culture. A love story between father and son emerges via an almost maniacal pursuit of happiness.

  • Greercn's Blog - Movie reviews (149)
"...Film matters because it reflects the time and shows us ourselves. I never get the same buzz from any other art form. I don’t blog on every movie I see, as I work and have a busy life, but I continue to believe that movies change the world and that’s a very good thing. ..." - https://greercn.wordpress.com/about/
  • HotDish (238)
    Welcome to HotDish!

This blog is an index of the best foods I have ever eaten anywhere. I started keeping track so I wouldn’t forget what to order when returning to favourite spots, and so I’d have an easier way to refer friends to truly spectacular places. I prefer writing about specific dishes rather than giving general restaurant recommendations, as even places that have lots of good things on the menu often only have one (or maybe two) things that are really memorable. As a rule, I try not to write about anything that I haven’t eaten at least twice so I can vouch for the quality. I’d love to know if you find something you like. I’d also love to hear about any recommendations you might have, as I travel frequently and am always looking for new places to try.

  • Imy the Comic (188)
How much is ‘Imy’ based on your own life?

I can say that most of the ideas come from my own life, but the comic is not based on my life, if you can understand that. Imy is not meant to represent me, even though I drew her to look a bit like me int he beginning. That’s why I ended up changing her hair color about 8 strips in; so that people would know she is not supposed to be me.

Otherwise, I do take things from my life, observations and experiences, and create the stories and gags from that. They say “write what you know,” and that’s exactly what I’m doing. But in no way is Imy meant to be a literal interpretation of my own life.

  • Mister Beebop (139)
~a lifestyle and pop culture blog~
Mister Beebop is my imaginary friend from childhood. Or at least, that’s what my family tells me because I don’t remember him at all. I may have had a “Heart and Souls” moment at some point.

I started this blog after going through a dark time in my life. I named it after my imaginary friend to represent me. I’ve since invited two of my nieces, Chloe and Sam, to join me and write for Mister Beebop too. We mostly write about the things we like. And sometimes about the things we really don’t like.

I’m equal parts nerd, geek, and fangirl. Sometimes a sarcastic demon spawn who loves puppies, rainbows, unicorns, and such shit.
