Thanks for enduring this story and taking the time to leave your comments. I am glad you found it interesting enough to read; it gives me hope that others might be reading as well.

This story has been on the interwebs since 2008 and yours marks the second response I have received in connection to it. Even to this day, if you Google the word "Richesnay" the only results are related to this fruitless search. Someday I would like to get to the bottom of the mystery but for now - yeah - it is kinda cool having this unique family tradition.
