Have you tried .htaccess rules?

I have used .htaccess rules in the past on other sites but for BlogDogIt I have decided to test the effectiveness of the GUS/BAN combo. One thing I like about GUS is that I can allow favorable bots (eg. Google, Bing etc.) and just not collect statistics for their activities. (otherwise access logs and hit counters would go through the roof)
