While sorting some files on the hard drive today I came across GOODTIMS.AVI [31MB]. Perhaps you've heard of it. This is a music video file that was included as an "Easter Egg" of sorts, on the distribution disk for Windows 95. As hard as it is for me to believe - there is a whole generation (and then some) that have likely never seen or heard of this video. That's okay because I have probably seen this enough to make up for all of those who haven't
GoodTimes.avi features Edie Brickell & New Bohemians singing Edie's song "Good Times"- a feel good tune if ever there was one.
Good Times - Edie Brickell & New Bohemians - from Windows 95
By: Edie Brickell
You don't even have to try
It comes easy for you
The way you move is so appealing
It could make me cry
Go out driving with my friends
In Bobby's big old beat up car
I'm with a lot of people then
I wonder where you are
Good times, bad times, give me some of that
Good times, bad times, give me some of that
Good times, bad times
I don't want to say goodbye
Don't want to walk you to the door
I spend a little time with you
I want a little more
Good times, bad times, give me some of that
Good times, bad times, give me some of that
Good times, bad times, give me some of that

I was first introduced to Edie Brickell & New Bohemians on Saturday Night Live (Season 14, Episode 4) where they performed "What I Am"
According to SongFacts.com: ["What I Am"] got a huge bump when the band performed it on Saturday Night Live. The actor Matthew Modine and the abrasive, chain-smoking talk show host Morton Downey Jr. also appeared on the show, making it the highest-rated episode of 1988. The show is also notable as the first time Brickell met Paul Simon.
I have been searching the internet for a video from that installment of SNL but have come up empty handed. Here is their appearance on David Letterman from the same year.
